The Beginning of a Great Product - Oceancare Products

In 1994 Brian Fitzgerald, the owner of Oceancare Products, started his journey in the tile industry when he stared working as a tile installation helper/laborer. Over the next 12 years he continued to learn the tile trade and eventually became the foreman for a high-end, custom tile installation contractor. In 2006 an injury forced him to stop doing physical labor, but Brian was able to apply his practical tile installation/maintenance knowledge and experience and landed a Technical Services position with Oceanside Glasstile, who at the time was the largest glass tile manufacturer in North America. Over the next few years, Brian spoke with countless homeowners and installers, many of whom struggled with tile maintenance issues. Particularly cleaning tile in pools because the acid-based products that were commonly used at the time were toxic and would damage sensitive tile finishes. Because of this, Brian and the Technical Services team set out to create their own complete line of maintenance products with two points of emphasis. First, they wanted high-performing products that they would want to use in the field. And second, the products had to have great health, safety and environmental profiles. A few years of R&D later, Oceanside Glasstile launched the initial Oceancare Product's line and from the beginning, Brian was one of the primary product managers. In 2022 Brian was able to fully acquire the brand from Oceanside Glasstile and is now the sole owner of the business where he continues his focus on product quality and user experience.
